Blessing of the animals is this Sunday, October 4th
This year we bless our companions who journey with us and bring joy and comfort to our lives. Feel free to bring those you wish to have a blessing. It can be in person (please have them under your control/guidance and be mindful of how they may interact with others), a photo, a toy or collar/ID tag, a stuffed animal to represent them, or another appropriate way.
The animals will be blessed after the announcements at the beginning of the service to give space for those who wish to leave with their companion. Those who wish to stay can do so, but again, please be mindful of others and the disposition of your animal. They will come forward and take a space around the altar, similar to what we do for Holy Communion, and Pastor Chris will bless them individually.
If that situation is not feasible for you, please reach out to Pastor Chris and he would be honored to work out a time/place to bless your companion.
Join us on Sunday, October 11 as we celebrate the installation of Pastor Chris! We will be honored to have Bishop Manlove preaching during this special service.
Following worship, please stay for our fellowship hour, featuring Ferdinand’s Grabbers. We look forward to celebrating together and welcoming Pastor Chris into this new chapter of ministry!
